I would rather she spend time on her acting skills which (no matter how nice/mean/beautiful/ugly she is ) she needs help with. Everytime I see the previews of the movie - I think nice storyline, horrible lead actors

Actress Edie Adams, Ernie Kovacs' widow, dead at 81Los Angeles Times
October 17, 2008
LOS ANGELES - Edie Adams, the Tony award-winning actress and singer who was perhaps best known to a generation of television viewers as the seductive commercial spokeswoman for Muriel Cigars, has died. She was 81.
Adams, the widow of legendary comedian Ernie Kovacs, died Wednesday at West Hills Hospital in Los Angeles' San Fernando Valley of complications from pneumonia and cancer, according to her son Josh Mills.
The sultry redhead (and sometimes blonde) won a Tony in 1956 for her portrayal of Daisy Mae in the musical version of Al Capp's cartoon "Li'l Abner" and was an accomplished film actress. Her credits included "The Apartment" with Jack Lemmon, Shirley MacLaine and Fred MacMurray; "Lover Come Back" with Doris Day and Rock Hudson; "The Best Man" with Cliff Robertson; and "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World," the Stanley Kramer production with a who's who of outstanding comedians and comedic actors.
But it was the seductive line as a spokeswoman for Muriel Cigars - "Why don't you pick one up and smoke it sometime?" - from the late 1950s that brought her lasting fame.

THE son of French film star Gerard Depardieu died in hospital yesterday from a bout of pneumonia.
Guillaume Depardieu, also an actor who starred in 20 films, was 37.
A spokesman for Gerard Depardieu said: "He caught a virus, which gave him a very severe pneumonia. Gerard is devastated."
The son of one of France's biggest cinema stars had struggled to escape his father's shadow. He starred in Bertrand Bonello's De la Guerre (Of war) and Versailles - which is now showing in cinemas - and was known for his rebellious streak.
He got in trouble for speeding and drugs, and a conviction for drink-driving landed him in jail earlier this year.
His right leg was amputated in 2003 because of a hospital infection developed during operations to recover from a motorbike accident in 1995.

The Southwest: More than any other region in America, the Southwest is most clearly connected to myths perpetuated about Native Americans. It tells the tragic story of their spiritual foundations, forced underground by Spanish and U.S. invaders. The Spanish came for gold and slaves - brought Christianity and banned Indian ceremonies. Years before the Salem Witch trials four Indians were hanged by Spanish for practicing witchcraft

Estelle Getty, peppery oldster in TV's 'Golden Girls,' dies in Los Angeles at 84
Estelle Getty, the diminutive actress who spent 40 years struggling for success before landing a role of a lifetime in 1985 as the sarcastic octogenarian Sophia on TV's "The Golden Girls," has died. She was 84.
Getty, who suffered from advanced dementia, died at about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday at her Hollywood Boulevard home, said her son, Carl Gettleman of Santa Monica.
"She was loved throughout the world in six continents, and if they loved sitcoms in Antarctica she would have been loved on seven continents," her son said. "She was one of the most talented comedic actresses who ever lived."

Synopsis (via Drama Wiki & Back Cover)
In 1988 Hokkaido's Hokusei Yoichi High School became the first high school in Japan to accept students who had previously dropped out of high school from nationwide. Hokkaido Broadcasting (HBC) has been covering this school for 15 years and aired a documentary last spring that caused a stir all over the country. Now TBS in cooperation with HBC will create a drama based on the school.
The drama will follow a former gang member, dropout and graduate of the school who returns as a teacher. We will follow him as he helps graduating students out into the world. The teachers and students will, as you would expect, confront all the issues of youth and society today. At this school, there are no compromises, no lies. This drama will move you as both students and teachers face a variety of issues head on.
This is a moving story that is created by people coming together and learning to believe in each other.
